AEGIS Engineering has the knowledge and focus to identify and address specific code issues early in the project process, and the experience and expertise to maintain a broad perspective. This enables us to overcome unique challenges or conditions by developing creative and innovative solutions that balance the needs of stakeholders while supporting client success.
Brian Thompson, P.E. [resume] entered the fire protection field in 1993 and has earned a master’s degree in fire protection engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute. Brian is a licensed fire protection engineer in multiple states and was appointed to advise the State Building Code Council for State of Washington as a Technical Advisory Group member regarding amendment and adoption of the 2009 and 2015 Editions of the International Fire and Building Codes, respectively. In 2017, Consulting-Specifying Engineer honored Brian as one of 40 building industry professionals age 40 and younger with demonstrated commitment to excellence in academic, professional, personal, and community involvement. He has spoken at the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) World Safety Conference & Exposition, the Construction Specification Institute (CSI) Rainier Chapter Annual Education Conference, and the Washington State University (WSU) Energy Extension Program. His research has been cited in the Journal of Fire Protection Engineering and his expertise has been referenced in a trade periodical.
